Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD, FAPTA Dr Sahrmann is an associate professor of physical therapy and neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis Missouri. She received her doctorate in neurobiology from Washington University School of Medicine. Dr Sahrmann is director of the Movement Science Program. She has received Washington University's Outstanding Faculty Award. She is a Catherine Worthington Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a recipient of the Association's Lucy Blair Service Award and the Marian Williams Research Award. She has served on the APTA's Board of Directors, many committees, task forces, and as President of the Missouri Physical Therapy Association. Dr Sahrmann, in addition to her numerous national presentations, has been a keynote speaker at the World Confederation of Physical Therapy the Biennial Manipulative Physiotherapist Conference and the Australian and New Zealand annual conferences. Her research interests are control of movement, factors affecting tone, and the classification of patients with movement dysfunction from neurological lesions and with mechanically induced pain syndromes. She maintains an active practice, specializing primarily in patients with musculoskeletal pain syndromes..
Gray Cook MSPT, OCS, CSCS Gray Cook, a practicing physical therapist, has spent his entire career refining and developing functional evaluation exercise techniques. He has taken the Functional Movement Screen and his advanced assessment practices and combined them with reactive-based exercises that enhance motor learning. Gray's ability to teach at many different professional levels is the result of his diverse background. Dr. Craig Liebenson D.C. Dr. Liebenson received his Bachelors degree from the University of Colorado and chiropractic degree from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Chiropractic, Division of Health Sciences at Murdoch University and a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain and the American Pain Society. Clare Frank DPT, MS, OCS, FAAOMPT Dr. Frank received her physical therapy degree from Northern Illinois University. She completed the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Residency program in 1993 while working on her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy & Biokinesiology at University of Southern California. She then went on to receive her post-professional doctorate degree from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California in 2003. She is a board certified specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). Her clinical career has been greatly influenced by Shirley Sahrmann PT, PhD, and the Prague School of Manual Medicine faculty, namely, the late Vladimir Janda MD, Karel Lewit MD, and Pavel Kolar PT, PhD. Dr. Frank practices at a private clinic in Los Angeles, California. She has been instrumental in setting up the Movement Science Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles and is one of the primary clinical instructors for the program. She is also a certified instructor for Bands, Balls & Balance, Janda's Approach to Musculoskeletal Pain Syndromes and Kolar's Approach to Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. Dr Frank also serves as an adjunct lecturer at Western University of Health Sciences and Azusa Pacific University. She has presented at both state and national conferences. Dr. Michael M. Reinold, PT, DPT, SCS, ATC, CSCS Mike is considered a leader in the field of sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. As a physical therapist, athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning specialist, Michael specializes in all aspects of care of shoulder, elbow, and knee disorders.
