Audio Interview with Darcy Norman
Darcy has worked both sides of the rehab/training fence in pro soccer, with professional cyclists, and all sorts of other high level athletes so he has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to sports medicine. In this interview he discusses his philosophy for metabolic conditioning and also how to apply these principles to the rehab setting. I also wanted to get him on to talk about some of his ideas on treating the cervical spine. They're simple but very effective, and you'll be incorporating them into your program tomorrow with great results!

Here are a couple single arm examples that I've used in the past. The pillow press is a great way to get started and then progress to the standing shoulder flexion/extension exercise (see the SFMA Shoulder corrections article - link at the bottom of the page). The other higher level example would be to hold a kettlebell overhead and work cervical and/or thoracic rotation from kneeling or standing positions.
Darcy is advocating more work with both arms overhead so I'll work some of those corrections into a future article dealing with the SFMA cervical corrections.
